Nasal Problems?
The nose is a fundamental structure in our face and body, aesthetically and functionally speaking. That is why the various problems we may have in the nose hinder our quality of life and we must entrust them to a professional.
The alterations in nasal breathing can lead to inspire air with greater difficulty or worse conditioned for our lungs. A deviated nasal septum, nasal polyps and rhinitis of various types are just some of the alterations that we can suffer. On the other hand, not less important, aesthetic alterations can cause psychological or emotional difficulties in any person.

Some common nasal problems
Rhinitis and/or sinusitis is any type of inflammation of the nose and paranasal sinuses. It presents with various symptoms but mainly with obstruction to the passage of air and mucus outflow, either anteriorly or posteriorly, through the throat.
The different types of rhinosinusitis may require medical or surgical treatment to improve or even cure the problem completely.
Only a medical examination can accurately diagnose the factors influencing your particular case and offer you the best adapted treatment.
One of the most common nasal alterations that cause difficulty breathing through the nose is precisely this: the deviation of the septum or nasal septum. This alteration can be present from birth, develop during growth or appear during adulthood, either spontaneously or as a consequence of trauma.
The nose is the most prominent facial structure and therefore it is usually the first area of the face to be affected when an impact occurs.
A fall, a punch, a sports accident…any cause can produce a nasal fracture.
Regardless of the case, an early otorhinolaryngological revision can restore the original shape of the nose, both inside and out, to avoid as far as possible subsequent alterations (both aesthetic and functional).
Nasosinusal polyposis is a type of chronic rhinosinusitis (when symptoms last more than three months). Although it is a disease that usually drags on for life, a correct medical treatment can make the patient lead a normal life, without symptoms of obstruction.
However, if the management with medication is not enough to improve the symptoms, Endoscopic Nasosinusal Surgery (CENS) is used to remove the polyps and restore normal breathing. This surgery is performed through the natural orifices of the nose, without external scars.
